Pirum Ung - Chief Development Officer
Pirum is a Presidential Honors Scholar at New York University studying politics, public policy, and economics. As a second generation Cambodian American whose family fled the Khmer Rouge, Pirum is particularly passionate about aiding other AAPI immigrants and refugees. He has previously interned with the Manhattan Borough President’s Office, NYC Civil Court, and NYC Law Department and hopes to study international and immigration law in the future.
Ben Solasky - Communications Director
Ben is a student at the George Washington University School of Media & Public Affairs, studying political communication. He has experience in digital media and public affairs, having worked for congressional campaigns, Capitol Hill offices and advocacy organizations. Passionate about engaging young voters, he is focused on finding new ways to use digital media to drive real-world impact.
Emerson Evans - Data Analyst
Emerson Evans is a student at New York University studying Mathematics, Data Science, and Environmental Studies. Growing up in Huntington Beach, California, he was an active member in local political discourse and now hopes to expand his efforts beyond the scope of his hometown. Aspiring to use his technical experience to foster an educated and passionate youth in politics, Emerson joined NextDems as a data analyst.
Zoey Ling - Outreach Associate
Zoey Ling is a student at Northeastern University who is majoring in Political Science with a minor in Law and Public Policy and a concentration in Law and Legal studies. She previously interned in New York’s Nassau County Legislature where she conducted research and analysis on critical issues, including the fentanyl crisis, transgender rights, and gun laws. Drawing from this experience, she aspires to pursue a career in law and politics.
